    Hutchinson Sector 28 Update

    Hutchinson Sector 28 Update

Well, it is now been over a month of having the Sector 28's on the race bike, and yes the love affair continues on. The 28's have taken my Trek Madone to a whole new level of comfort, grip, and durability. I have been using the bike in races, on group rides, and in all kinds of commuting "city bike" situations, and no bumpy, gnarly road has been able to stop me yet. I weigh a little over 170 lbs., and have been running these at 85/70 psi rear and front with little notice to l

Wahoo Bolt: Part 3b, Get Me There Wahoo

This last installment on the Bolt’s ability to get me places is one that I have been negligent on finishing…I am sorry. I have had the Bolt for nearly a month, and I have to say I LOVE IT! I appreciate its ability to get me places using the turn by turn directions, especially when I am planning and leading routes for group rides. This part will discuss riding planned routes or those created from logged rides, and the second post will discuss riding to a destination on the fly. There is nothing like walking out the front door and heading out on an adventure. I find that the more I do that, the more I like to try to conceive of the perfect day on the bike. Whether I get one or five hours, it's nice to have a plan. It's also nice to be able t

Wahoo Bolt: Part 2, Data Screens are Easy

So, last time we talked about how great it would be to change screens and set up stuff on your head unit without all the on device button pushes and scrolling. The Wahoo Bolt excels in this aspect because it uses your phone to connect and input information onto the device. My Garmin 520 was connected to my phone as well so the fact that it couldn't do this is a bummer. Looking at the first screen shot you get a sense of all the things you can manipulate from the phone. I can
