Movie: Grand Island to Buckhorn and Back

Sunny and wonderful on the path around Grand Island. No words today, just video and new music I made after finishing this 40+ mile ride. A great day all around. Footage was shot on the Insta360 One X in 360 in 5.7k and made flat, 24fps 1080 and rendered using H264. Music and Loops by Bob Maulucci created on the Arturia MiniLab Mk II in Ableton Lite Live. “Half Man” by Bob Maulucci All music available on Soundcloud. New Bars and Why You Should Avoid Flesh Colored Pants at the Park

New bars went on the Trek today, and I am loving them so far. They are the Ritchey Pro Evo-Curve in 40 mm. I have been wanting to put some 40's on the Trek for a while, but when I started riding the Gaulzetti more, I forgot. Now that I am riding the Trek all the time as I await a new derailleur hanger for the Gaulzetti, I decided "why not?" See what I think, why I did it, and find out why you should wear pants when you leave the house. Also, check out my Soundcloud page for t

    See More Knox

A beautiful day headed out to Knox Farms in Aurora. The roads were perfect once I got out of the city, and Sunday traffic is the best as usual. Dressing right for 60* days is tough, but today worked out perfect. #bikeisbest See the route HERE. Footage is all shot on the GoPro Hero 7 Black at 2.7K, 24fps at 1/48 and rendered using H265. A New Helmet, a Filter, and Something to Stick in My Mouth

Today’s vlog shows off the new POC Omne Air helmet. Hopefully the new ND filters and Pro Standard mouth grip for the GoPro make a difference.
Trying to Vlog with the GoPro Hero 7 Black

Trying to Vlog with the GoPro Hero 7 Black

I really enjoy doing the vlog, but in addition to trying to improve the content I also want to make it look good. Recently, I switched over from the Insta360 One X and shot a few videos on the GoPro Hero 7 Black hoping to improve upon the video quality. I found that the GoPro did improve the quality, as the crop on the Insta360 One X was causing pixilation and poor blacks. I set up the GoPro on an old GoPro bar mount that I had (first pic below), and tried to get good audio w

The Cycling from Square One Podcast is Here!

Hey, Bob here. I hope you enjoy the latest offering from me, the Cycling from Square One Podcast on anchor.fm. I was planning on having an audio book to go along with Cycling from Square One, and I decided that a podcast would give me even more leeway. I could cover all the chapters but not have to be so rigid about it, and I could share it in a format that lots of us enjoy. It will soon get out on all the major podcasting platforms, and I will let you know when those happen.
