How to Ride Safely in Traffic by Staying in Traffic

Another hot day in the city and out to Grand Island. Today, I focused on riding in heavy traffic and maintaining a strong road presence. Watch to see how I tackle debris and other road hazards safely by not moving too far off the road. Check out the full video on YouTube. Footage was shot on the Insta360 One X in 360 in 5.7k and made flat, 24fps 1080 and rendered using H264. Editing is done in the Insta360 app and then finished in LumaFusion using the really helpful EditorsKe

First Impressions Ride: Schwalbe X-ONE TLE Tires and VELOCIO Radiator Mesh Jersey

New tires met my lovely Boyd wheels today. The new Schwalbe X-One TLE (Tubeless Easy) 35mm tires were great in their debut on mixed terrain. I also was able to break out a new jersey, the Velocio Radiator Mesh jersey. They say they are made for the most oppressive days, and this wasn’t quite one, but I was impressed with the wicking and cooling ability of this top in 80 degree temps. Gravel....Finally

Finally a ride with Nick and some gravel. I’ve been trying to get back to this route for a long time, and it was awesome as expected. Footage is all shot on the GoPro Hero 7 Black at 2.7K, 24fps at 1/48 and rendered using H264. 50 More Miles, And My Tires Are Fine, Thank You!

A scorcher on the path around Grand Island. Not much to say today, but happy with the front mounted 360 video and new music I made after finishing this 50 mile ride. A great day all around. 189 miles so far this week, and it’s only Wednesday. (I count the week as Monday through Sunday). Footage was shot on the Insta360 One X in 360 in 5.7k and made flat, 24fps 1080 and rendered using H264. Editing is done in the Insta360 app and then finished in LumaFusion using the really he

Meeting Karen at the Cemetery WTH!

New week, new chain, and a new “friend” inside the cemetery. I’m sorry about the audio and video. I changed the shutter to 1/48 and it was too bright and blew out the shots. I also tried stereo instead off Auto for sound, and yikes, it sucked! Probably buying a wireless mic this week. This is ridiculous. #MovieMonday #video

    Someone is Watching You!

    Someone is Watching You!

All right, this is not necessarily about bikes, but more so about how everything you do is being watched and recorded. This is messed up. This morning, I saw a post on Twitter from CXHairs, Bill Schieken who is a great journalist who covers my favorite sport, Cyclocross at his website, http://www.cxhairs.com/. The retweet post was a look at a new quick release and thru axle mount that you use in you truck bed to carry your bikes. Pretty cool, huh? I immediately thought about
